RPS are leaders in approvals and environmental studies for offshore wind. Due to exceptional growth, we are seeking a talented and motivated consultant to join our Melbourne Environment & Approvals team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be a Principal Consultant or Technical Director with the following scope:

  • RPS Project Director for Star of the South offshore wind farm – overseeing RPS' scope - offshore regulatory approvals marine survey scopes;
  • Project leadership of one of Australia's most complex marine infrastructure projects;
  • Provide advice on offshore approvals, including NOPSEMA regulatory advice;
  • Oversee EIS and Environment Plans (appropriate for submission to NOPSEMA) and other Environmental Management Plans for all phases of the project;
  • Lead the offshore engagement with regulators and key stakeholders;
  • Work with the team to ensure mitigation and management measures are sufficient to address impacts identified in the primary approvals phase;
  • Manage inputs from a large team of technical marine specialists.

ABOUT YOU

You'll have:

  • 15 - 20 years experience, with at least five in consulting;
  • Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering or related discipline;
  • Extensive experience with the NOPSEMA approvals process and regulatory advice;
  • Experience with Australian oil and gas project approvals;
  • Experience with EIS, EPs, EMPs and/or secondary approvals;
  • Exemplary communication and negotiation;
  • Understanding of offshore environmental approvals at State and Commonwealth levels.
