The Role
Due to recent growth, Exact Contracting are looking for an experienced Project Manager for Civil/Bulk Earthworks Projects (Road Building & TSF Construction) within the Northern Territory.
  
This role will be site based and the successful candidate is expected to work on a fly-in/fly-out (FIFO), 14 days on, 7 days off roster from Darwin or Alice Springs.
  
Often working outdoors in hot, dry and dusty conditions and reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring project activities are completed safely, within budget, and on schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading from the front and driving our culture and vision to lead the industry through safety;
• Managing resources and driving operational efficiencies;
• Comprehensive understanding of contractual requirements;
• Scheduling and execution of project activities;
• Procurement;
• Cost control;
• Contractual and KPI reporting;
• Client relationship management.

The successful applicant will have:

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Management (or equivalent experience/qualification);
• 3+ years of experience in supervisory/management role within the mining and/or civil industry;
• 5+ years of experience with Bulk Earthworks, Road Construction or TSF Projects;
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including MS Project;
• Effective planning ability, time management, and prioritisation;
• Confident communicator with the ability to effectively liaise with other employees, clients, suppliers and sub-contractors;
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude;
• Desire to work in remote locations; and
• Have a hands on approach.

Pre-Employment:
All candidates will be required to pass a National Police Clearance (within 3 months), pre-employment medical, and a drug and alcohol screen.

As our Projects are often in remote and regional Australia, you will be required to work on sites which are often hot, dry, dusty and/or humid.
