Project Cost Controller

This role is to coordinate all activities for the cost control and financial planning of the MacIntyre Wind Farm Precinct construction project, ensuring the day-to-day cost controls are executed efficiently and effectively.

This role will be based in our central Brisbane office, with regular travel to site. This role is a fixed 4 year term in line with the development and construction duration of the project.

Key responsibilities include:

• Cost control and planning of Macintyre Wind Precinct project, including review of approved budgets, setting budget goals, analysis and monitoring of performance against budget;
• Develop, under guidance from the broader EPC team and in accordance with internal requirements, the project cost baseline;
• Maintain the project cost reporting throughout the project life cycle;
• Work closely with the Deputy Project Director, Project Manager, Contracts Administrators and Finance department to monitor cost performance, and maintain cashflow forecasting.
• Develop relationships across the project to facilitate maintenance and tracking of cost;
• Estimate potential additional works using first principles;
• Preparation of budget change requests for any changes to the project scope outside of the original parameters upon which the approved budget is based;
• Cost control reporting for the project;
• Work collaboratively in a global matrix organisation.

• Tertiary qualified with relevant experience in finance and cost control relating to large-scale construction projects, wind sector projects experience advantageous but not essential.
• Proven competence in financial auditing, production control, financial tracking of construction projects.
• Experience in working on site-based construction/engineering projects.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Package especially Excel.

• Driver’s license.
• Flexibility to travel as required.

ACCIONA is set to build its largest ever wind farm in Australia, the MacIntyre complex in Queensland, with a total capacity of 1,026MW. The project will boost the Queensland government's decarbonisation strategy, mobilising total investments of AU$1.96 billion (€1 billion).
